Important Notices to Practitioners:

Important Information Regarding Changes to the DMEPOS Enrollment Contractor: Effective Nov. 7, 2022, the National Supplier Clearinghouse (NSC) no longer processes Medicare enrollment applications for DMEPOS suppliers. The National Provider Enrollment DMEPOS East and West contractors now process all DMEPOS enrollment applications. Find your enrollment contractor (PDF).

Due to the confusion with Medicare, please bill all Richie Braces® using the description for the L-Code. Do not use the term “Richie Brace®” to describe the device.

For example, the Standard Richie Brace® should be described as : L 1970  Ankle foot orthosis, plastic with ankle joint, custom fabricated.
